Willie Pearl Foggie Cook, age 69, widow of Reverend O’Dell Cook, Jr., passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026, at Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cummings, Georgia.
She was born on April 11, 1956, in Greenwood, South Carolina, and was the daughter of the late Willie C. Foggie and Mattie Pearl Watts Foggie.
Willie, affectionately called Pearl by her loved ones, was a woman of unwavering faith and quiet strength. Her deep belief in God was the foundation of her resilience, her kindness, and her grace. That faith anchored her life and guided her family through every season with courage and hope.
She found great joy in being a homemaker, lovingly caring for her family and creating warm, welcoming spaces through decorating and gardening. She had a special gift for nurturing beauty — not only in her garden, but in the lives of those around her.
Her home was never just a house — it was a sanctuary of peace, prayer, and unconditional love.
Pearl is survived by her son, Chauncey Cook (Ashley) of Greenville; her daughter, Charaka C. Cook of Suwanee, Georgia; her stepdaughter, Marticia Smith (Allen) of Simpsonville; her brothers, Orlando Watts (Cornelia), Perry Foggie, Gerald Foggie, and Rickey Foggie; her sisters, Debra White (James), Kathy Foggie, and Phyllis Latimore; and her grandchildren, Elisha Cook, Carter Cook, Caleb Cook, Brandon Smith, and Cydney Smith.
She is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever treasure her life and legacy.
In addition to her parents and her husband of 43 years, Pearl was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Foggie.
Her life reminds us that true beauty is found in faithfulness, kindness, and devotion.
Though we grieve her absence, we rejoice in her eternal peace and the legacy she leaves behind — a legacy of
faith, love, and strength.
Graveside Services were held Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM at St. John Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastors Michael and Anne Aiken officiating.
