William Anthony Wilder

William Anthony Wilder, age 85, passed away at Clinton Presbyterian Community Home in Clinton, SC on June 25, 2013.
He was a Jupiter – Tequesta, Florida resident from 1959 to 2005, and formerly from Detroit, Michigan. He was one of the founders of the Jupiter Jaycees. He started and organized the South Martin County Homeowners Association of which he was their first president. He was instrumental in establishing a voting precinct in South Martin County. He also worked with the Jaycees to have railroad gates and lights installed at County Line Road.
Mr. Wilder served as a Corporal in the US Army during the Korean conflict. He retired from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in 1974 and from the Palm Beach County School System in 1992. After retirement, he enjoyed being a volunteer for the Kravis Center for six years (1992-1998). Before he left Florida, he was asked to serve on the Tequesta Zoning Board as a volunteer.
A memorial service will be held at the Clinton Presbyterian Home on Tuesday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m.
