Thomas "Bubba" Anthony Padgett

Thomas “Bubba” Anthony Padgett, age 50, husband of Melissa Williamson Padgett, passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Newberry, South Carolina on February 24, 1975 and was the son of Rev. John T. Padgett and Judith “JuJu” Mathis Padgett of Clinton. He was a Tradesman and Member of Local Union 421 and traveling pipefitter. In his spare time, he did home maintenance – a jack of all trades – master of none! He loved to fish…” just one more cast”. To know Bubba was to love him.

Bubba is survived by his wife of 30 years; his son, Clayton Padgett (Ally) of Clinton; his daughter, Chelsea Padgett (Cole) of Clinton; his special brother, Jerry Dickson (DeeDee); his sister, Charlotte Iusti (Andy) of Clinton; his mother-in-law, Linda Williamson Dunaway (Bobby “Pops” Dunaway); his three grandchildren, Tilly, Della, and Slate Padgett; his special aunt, Linda Dees of Newberry; many nieces and nephews; and his fur babies, “Dakota” and “Gabbie”.

He is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bruce Williamson.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 5:00 PM at Full Gospel Assembly Church with Rev. Mike Campbell, Clayton Padgett and Michael Bolick officiating. The family will greet friends at the church from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM.

The family will be at the home of Linda Williamson Dunaway, 306 Davis Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
