Susan Marie Graydon, age 58 of 452 Mahon Rd. went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 9, 2012.
She was born in Laurens County and was a daughter of Mildred Simmons Graydon of Laurens and the late Haskell Graydon.
Susan was a graduate of Hickory Tavern High School, Lander College and the Medical College of Georgia. She was a Registered Nurse and worked for the VA Hospital in Augusta for 25 years. After retiring from the VA and returning home to Hickory Tavern she served as a school nurse for Laurens District 55, she was also a member of the Friendship Presbyterian Church.
Surviving in addition to her mother are her sister, Von Mahon and husband, Mike of Hickory Tavern; a niece, April Hamby and husband, Tony and their children, Graydon, Mason and Michael and a nephew, Bryan Mahon and wife, Patricia and their children, Layton and Preston.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Friendship Presbyterian Church by Rev. Robert Cathcart, followed by a memorial service in the church sanctuary with a visitation in the fellowship hall after the memorial service.
