Susan "Kem" Kemper Gambrell

Susan “Kem” Kemper Gambrell, age 68, wife of James Michael Gambrell, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital.

She was born on August 1 1957 and was the daughter of the late Marvin W. Manley and Sue Cooper Manley. Kem served as a CNA for NHC, Langston House and Whitten Center.

Kem is survived by her husband Mike of 49 years; her son, Cliff Cole (Ashley); her daughter, Kim Gambell Owens (James); her sister, Mary Beth Hollozworth (Pete); her grandchildren, Jay Owens, Ava Cole and Liam Cole.

The family will greet friends on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home of Clinton. Entombment will follow at Oakbrook Memorial Park.
