"Bubba" Stewart Brown, Jr.

“Bubba” Stewart Brown, Jr., age 81, of Clinton, husband of Susan Copeland Brown, passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at Self Regional Healthcare.

Bubba was born July 25, 1946 in Clinton, SC, and was the son of the late Stewart Orville Brown, Sr. and Frances Donnan Brown. He was a veteran of the South Carolina National Guard and retired from H.D. Payne Company after 40 years of dedicated service. He was also a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Bubba was a true outdoorsman who loved farming and living the farm life. He enjoyed spending time in the woods, fishing, and camping at the beach. Whether he was working around the farm or simply enjoying the outdoors, Bubba was happiest doing the things he loved. He was a devoted family man who loved his family dearly and had a special place in his heart for animals, especially cats and dogs.

In addition to his loving wife, Susan, Bubba is survived by his children, Michael Brown (Fran) of Charleston and Amanda Hartley (Nelson) of Joanna; his brother, David Brown of Greenwood; his sister, Patricia Brown Lollis of Whitmire; his granddaughter, Ashley James of Laurens; and his beloved furry companions, Tigger, and Peaches.

He was preceded in death by two furry babies, Prissy, and Izzy.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 9, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at the church.
