Sheila McGee Wheeler

Sheila McGee Wheeler, age 65, widow of Jeffrey Wheeler, passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at Hospice of Laurens County.

She was born on April 10, 1960 in Clinton, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Billy McGee and Myrtis Livingston McGee. Sheila was a former home health caregiver and loved her family.

Sheila is survived by her sons, Scott Crain (Christy) of Greenville and Matt Hatfield of Clinton; her sisters, Tammy Polson (Ricky) of Clinton, Sherry McGee of Clinton; her step-sister, Toni Campbell; special friend, Jeff McGinty of Clinton; special niece and nephew, Wendy Polson and Ricky Polson, Jr.; her grandchildren, Braylynn Crain, Payton Crain, Dalton Lambert, Cameron Hatfield, Hunter Hatfield, Grayson Hatfield, Kinslee Ginn, Blake Hatfield; a great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Hatfield.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Sheila is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Shyann Crain and step-mother, Isabella McGee.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

The family will be at the home of her sister, Tammy Polson, 1331 Sunset Blvd, Clinton, SC 29325.
