Sallie Ruth Simmons Bagwell

Sallie Ruth Simmons Bagwell, age 85, widow of Thomas Lee Bagwell passed away Friday, March 6, 2026 at Brookstone Terrace in Greenville, SC.

She was born on October 5, 1940 in Laurens, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Roland Lester Simmons and Martha Othello Stevenson Simmons. Sallie was the last surviving member of her family.

Sallie is survived by her loving nieces, Angela Cook, Melody Fuller, Mary Beth Wilbanks and Dolores Payne; and other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Roland Eugene Simmons, James Simmons, Norman Simmons; her sisters, Wilma Lamb, Judy Madden, Martha Bost, Wanda Vaughn; and a special niece, Charlene Campbell.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 29, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Rosemont Cemetery.
