Ruby Nell Gambrell Basden

Ruby Nell Gambrell Basden-90, of Fountain Inn, widow of Carl Thomas Basden, went to be with her Lord and Savior July 31, 2016.
Born in Laurens, SC on Oct 3, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Althea and Ottis Foster and Floyd Gambrell .
Ruby retired from JP Stevens after Fifty years of service as a weaver. She enjoyed crocheting, playing Scrabble and Rummy, cooking and spending time with her loved ones.
In addition to her loving parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a Grandson Shawn Paul Humphries; two sisters, Margaret Gambrell Blumer and Ruth Evelyn Davis; two brothers, Carl Gambrell and Jack Gambrell.
She is survived by one son, Robert “Lindsey” Basden (Debbie) of Anderson, SC; two daughters, Carla Basden Scott (Derrell) of Fountain Inn, SC and Terri Basden Piotrowski (Larry) of Belton, SC; Ten Grandchildren, Thirty Three Great Grandchildren and Nineteen Great-Great Grandchildren and many other extended family.
The visitation will be held Saturday August 6, 2016 starting at 10am at Gray Funeral Home in Whitmire, SC. A Memorial Service will follow in the Chapel at 11 with a burial and committal service following at the Whitmire Cemetery.
Flowers can be sent to the Gray Funeral Home in Whitmire or in Lieu of flowers if you wish you can donate to NHC of Laurens or Caris Hospice.
