Ronald “Ronnie” Paul Jones, age 68, of 12 Pamela Drive, Waterloo, passed away Friday, September 23, 2016.
He was born in Laurens and was a son of the late Paul Cunningham and Mildred Clara Roberts Jones.
Mr. Jones was retired from the US Postal Service. He was a proud veteran of the US Army, having served in the Vietnam War, and was a founding member of the Laurens County Era Vietnam Veterans Association. As a parting gift, Mr. Jones donated his eyes to Miracle of Sight and his power chairs will be donated to those in need.
Mr. Jones is survived by his wife, Sandra Jones, of the home; his son, Ronald Eugene Jones (Mary) of Laurens; his daughter, Shannon Broome (Harry) of Waterloo; his sister, Lorraine Lewis of Waterloo; and six grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his brother, Samuel Calvin Jones.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 28th, at 12:00 PM, at Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Laurens, with burial at Waterloo Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
