Robert Golden Taylor

Robert Golden Taylor, age 85, of Joanna, SC, widower of Barbara Medlock Taylor, passed away, Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at his home.

He was born October 30, 1939 in Laurens, SC, and was the son of the late Golden and Martha Ellen Holcombe Taylor. He retired from CSX as a Railroad Section Foreman after 33 years of service.

Robert is survived by his children, Richard G. Taylor, Cynthia Bryson, and Sandra Hostetler; his grandchildren, Brandi Smith (David), Darren Lyda, Kaitlyn Taylor, Hannah Hostetler, Justin Bryson, and Hunter Hostetler; his great-grandchildren, Kelsey Skipper (Sam), Caleb Smith, Daniel Smith, Michael Smith, and Chloe Smith; his great-great granddaughter, Abigail Skipper; and his brother, James Taylor.

Funeral Services will be held, 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Pinelawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Tony Wilbanks officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery.

The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the mausoleum chapel.
