Ridgeway "R.B." Butler Satterfield

Ridgeway “R.B.” Butler Satterfield age 92 of 401 Forest Dr., passed away on Sunday, Aug. 21, 2016 at his home.
He was born in Owings, SC and was a son of the late Butler E. and Tweetie Ridgeway Satterfield.
Mr. Satterfield was retired from the South Carolina Department of Labor, a member and Past Master of Palmetto Masonic Lodge #19, member of the York Rites, the Laurens County Shrine Club and Hejaz Shrine Temple. He was a member of the Green Pond United Methodist Church, a WWII Army Air Corp veteran and an inductee of the Laurens County Hall of Heroes and a member of the Laurens VFW Post 3354.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Willis Satterfield, a son, Jeff Satterfield (Pam); a daughter, Patty Goode (Johnny) all of Laurens; a brother, Wofford Satterfield (Dot) of Fountain Inn; two sisters, Dot McKittrick of Laurens, Bobbie Jean Burns of Leland, NC; four grandchildren, Will Satterfield, Jennifer Satterfield, Ridge Howell (Tesla) and Bailey Goode and one great granddaughter, Aubree Satterfield.
He was predeceased by two sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, August 24th at 11:00 A.M. at the Green Pond United Methodist Church and burial in the church cemetery with Masonic Rites.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday evening at the Gray Funeral Home of Laurens.
The family request that in lieu of flowers memorials be made to the Green Pond United Methodist Church, 168 Stoddard Mill Rd., Gray Court, SC 29645 or Shriners Hospital for Children, 950 West Farris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
