Rachel Peay Wallen, age 92, of 1946 Hwy 66, passed away at her home Friday, July 1, 2016.
She was born in Whitmire and was the daughter of the late Durwood Cornwell and Nance Vendor Darvy Peay, and was a member of the New Life Christian Fellowship.
Mrs. Wallen is served by her husband of 67 years, Charles E. Wallen of the home; her daughter, Jo Nell Wallen of the home; her brother, James Aaron Peay (Meg) of Whitmire.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wallen is predeceased by her brothers, Marion Peay, Roy Woodrow Peay, Lewis Peay, Curtis Peay, David Eli Peay, Eugene Peay; and her sisters, Louise Price and Frances Peay Willis.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 3, 2016 at 4 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Whitmire, the family will receive friends from 3 to 4 PM at the funeral home.
