Opal Webb McAlister age 91 of 1277 Ranch Rd. and widow of Walter McAlister passed away Friday, Nov. 15th 2013 at her home.
She was born in Anderson, SC and was a daughter of the late Ralph and Cotine Barton Webb.
Mrs. McAlister retired from Whitten Center and was a member of Welcome Baptist Church.
Surviving are her five children, Jack (Darlene) McAlister, Roddy (Amy) McAlister, Mable Butler, Judy Brown and Joyce Turner; a sister, Mildred Andrews; fifteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Nov. 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton by Rev. Dan Compton, with burial at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Laurens County, P.O. Box 178, Clinton, SC 29325.
The family will be at the home of her daughter, Joyce Turner, 49 Horseshoe Dr., Clinton, SC.
