Nancy Ann Trammell Craine

Nancy Ann Trammell Craine, age 87, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2026 at NHC Healthcare of Laurens.

She was born in Woodruff, South Carolina on December 29, 1938 and was the daughter of the late Paul Trammell and Lillian Roper Trammell.

Nancy was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Nancy enjoyed the simple joys of life…she loved listening and dancing to Elvis, playing Bingo, reading her books and doing word searches. She became a resident of NHC of Laurens in 2021 and had a special way of making connections with those around her. She greeted everyone as “moma” or “poppa” and became lovingly known as “moma” to the staff and residents. It’s a sweet reminder of the warmth she spread to everyone she met.

Nancy’s kindness, gentle spirit, and love she shared will continue to be remembered and cherished by her family, friends and all those lives she touched.

During her lifetime she worked at Reeves Brother Textile Mill in Woodruff and Martin Nursery and Greenhouse in Gray Court. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and later attended Gray Court Church of God.

Nancy is survived by her sons, Jamie Craine (Tracy) of Laurens, Jackie Craine of Greenwood; her daughter Tina Hembree (Wayne) of Gray Court; her grandchildren, Amber Hembree, Lily Craine, Leah Craine, Brandon Craine, Bryan Craine, Mackenzie Emert; her great-grandson, Tobias Emert.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her brother and three sisters. She was the last living member of her family.

There are no services being planned at this time.
