Minnie Lou Shields, age 83 of 311 Subertown Rd., Apt C-3 and widow of Fred Shields died Monday, March 14, 2011 in the Newberry County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Whitmire and was a daughter of the late Martin and Anna Seymore.
Mrs. Shields was retired and a member of the Masters Baptist Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Yvonne Willard and Carol Collier both of Whitmire; two brothers, Russell Seymore of Whitmire and Martin Luther Seymore, Jr. of Union; two grandchildren, Steven Malone and April Collier Sheppard and four great grandchildren, Brittneigh Stribble, Christian Malone, Tripp Sheppard and Amara Sheppard.
She was predeceased by a son, Marvin Shields, a daughter, Donna Bedard and a sister, Genola Alexander.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, at 2:00 p.m. in the Masters Baptist Church with burial in Lee Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
