Madge Morgan Blackwell age 93 of 318 W. Frontage Rd. and widow of Tullie E. Blackwell passed away at her home Friday, Jan. 3rd, 2014.
She was born in Greenville County and was a daughter of the late Luther and OraBell Wilson Morgan and the last surviving of thirteen children.
Mrs. Blackwell was the co-owner of Madge’s Beauty Shop for over 40 years. Member of the First Baptist Church of Joanna. She enjoyed her church and cooking for others.
She is survived by a daughter, Julia B. Galloway and husband, Louie of Clinton; four grandchildren, Terry L. Morse, Steven E. Morse (Karen), Jennifer L. Morse (Mark) and Rita Campbell (Scott); six great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, Jan. 6th at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Joanna with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 1to 2:00 p.m. at the church on Monday.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Joanna, 301 Magnolia St., Joanna, SC 29351.
