Madelyn Elaine Wells (Chi-Chi) age 58 of 238 Burns Rd., died Wednesday, Dec. 27th in Greenville Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Spartanburg and was a daughter of the late Lawrence E. and Kathleen Mason Burkhalter.
She was a long-time employee of Winn-Dixie and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, James and Missy Murray of Laurens and a special friend, Doug Cox of Laurens; three brothers, Eric L. Burkhalter of Gray Court, Larry Burkhalter of Tuscumbia, AL and Greg Moore of Corinth MS; three sisters, Debbie Kinard of Clinton, Nancy Brock of Greer and Christy Foster of Princeton; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be conducted Friday, Dec. 29th at 2:00 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Park in Spartanburg, SC.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 to 9 pm at the Gray Funeral Home in Laurens.
