Lyman L. Smith

Lyman Leroy Smith, age 73 of 375 Central Ave. died Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Georgia and was a son of the late Lyman Smith, Sr. and the late Agnes Hughes Smith Grant.
Mr. Smith was a retired employee of Westpoint-Stevens, a member of the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church and Men’s Club and was a former member of the Whitmire Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving is one son, Andy Gary Smith of the home; he was predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth Rhodes Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Feb 1st at 3:00 p.m. at the Whitmire Pentecostal Holiness Church by Rev. Eddie Duncan with burial at the Whitmire Cemetery.
Members of the Whitmire Volunteer Fire Department will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the church.
