Louise Willis Patterson

Louise Willis Patterson, age 101, widow of Herbert Maxie Patterson passed away Friday, June 26, 2026 at her daughter’s home.

She was born on October 6, 1924 in Gray Court, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Robert Clyde Willis and Margaret Mae Gossett Harrington. She is the last surviving member of her family.

Lousie retired from Belk Department Store of Laurens and was the oldest member of Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church.

Lousie is survived by her son; Robert Maxcy Patterson of Lanford Station; her daughter, Jane Patterson Hunter of Simpsonville; her granddaughter, Lisa Hunter.

In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by her step-mother, Mary Owings Willis, two brothers, Robert Clyde Willis, Jr., Don Willis and a grandson, William Jarrod Hunter.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Patterson Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Lee Moseley and Rev. Norman Dover.

The family will greet friends in the church from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
