Louie A. Webb, Sr., age 91, of 303 Caldwell St. died Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at the NHC of Clinton.
He was born in Hartsville and was the son of the late R.L. and Carsie Harrelson Webb.
Mr. Webb was retired from the H.D. Payne Company, was a charter member of the Davidson St. Baptist Church where he served as Deacon, Chairman of the Deacons, Treasurer and Sunday School Superintendent.
He sold P.C. Basketball tickets for 44 years, sold Clinton High Football tickets for 45 years and was inducted into the Laurens County Hall of Heroes in September 2011. He was also a W.W. II Army Air Corp veteran.
Surviving is his wife, Betty Dunaway Webb of the home; two sons, Al Webb, Jr. and wife, Phyllis and Jimmy Webb and wife, Jo all of Clinton;
Grandchildren, Billy Webb (Michelle) of Easton, PA, Andrew Webb of Clinton, Heather Webb of Charlotte, NC and Clay Webb of Clinton; great grandchildren, Corey Webb and Katrina Webb both of Easton, PA.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Ann Mathis; a granddaughter, Amy Mathis; sisters, Beatrice Moody, Margaret Johnson, Lois Wehunt and Lula Mae Tyner; brothers, Ned Tyner and Leroy Webb.
Funeral service will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Davidson St. Baptist Church with interment in the Rosemont Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home.
