Linda Gail Woody

Linda Gail Woody, age 81, of Clinton, passed away Friday, April 10, 2026 at Prisma Health – Laurens County Hospital.

Born September 3, 1944 in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late James Ralph Woody and Roberta Nellie Prosser Woody. She retired from the Torrington Bearing Company. Linda’s greatest joy was her grandchildren, especially her great grands.

She is survived by her daughters, Rhonda L. Scott, and Cindy Sanders, both of Clinton; her grandchildren, Justin P. Scott, and Amy E. Scott (Joe Wymer), both of Clinton; her great-grandchildren, Austin Wymer, Brooklyn Motes, and Chloe Wymer; her brother, Jimmy Woody; and her furry baby, “Chi-Chi”.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her grandson, Brian Adam Sanders; her sister, Sue Young; and her son-in-law, Mitchell E. Scott.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 4:00 PM, at Pinelawn Memory Gardens with Rev. Sam Cox officiating.
