Linda Gruber Hendrix

Linda Gruber Hendrix, age 83, widow of Frank Hendrix, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Hospice of Laurens County.

She was born on July 23, 1943 in Joanna, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Jefferson C. Gruber and Elsie Hueble Gruber.

Linda cherished spending time with her family and friends and never missed an opportunity to share her love for Jesus with those around her. Her faith was central to her life, and she found great joy in encouraging others through her words and example.

She worked for many years as a cloth inspector and also spent time as a beautician. Through her work, she connected with others and built meaningful relationships and lifelong friendships. She took pride in her work and the people she met along the way. She will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends, her caring spirit, and the lasting impact she made on the lives of those who knew her.

Linda is survived by her daughters, Wendy Crawford and Sandy Dowdle (Richard); her granddaughters, Amanda Dowdle and Lauren Dowdle.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Linda is preceded in death by her sister, Willie Nell Jenkins.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Rosemont Cemetery with Chaplain Kevin and Rev. Chad Reynolds officiating.
