Linda Davis Brewer, age 81, of Clinton, wife of James Earl Brewer, passed away, Monday, August 24, 2026 at Prisma Health-Laurens County Hospital.
Born May 19, 1945 in Laurens County, she was the daughter of the late John E. Davis and Lessie Smith Davis. Linda was a 1963 graduate of Laurens High School and devoted 32 years of her career to working in medical records at Bailey Hospital. Following her retirement, she continued working for Aaron Industries for 5 years.
Linda was a devoted member of Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness, where she faithfully served as Secretary/Treasurer for 30 years. She also served as President of the Joy Club for 20 years and was a member of the gospel group, “Messengers of Truth”.
Outside of her work and Church service, Linda enjoyed reading and spending time at the beach. Above all, she treasured her family and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren deeply.
In addition to her husband of 62 years, Linda is survived by her children, Kimberly Brewer Shuler (Eric) of Walhalla, and James Todd Brewer of Clinton; her sister, Brenda “Kitty” Pate of Clinton; her grandchildren, Tyler P. Riley and Drake D. Riley (Carmen) both of Saluda; and her great grandchildren, Weslynn Jane Riley, Emerson Faye Riley, and Lainey Mae Riley.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Teddy Jerome Davis; and two half-brothers, Edward C. Whitt and Walter L. Whitt.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mark Entrekin and Rev. Scott Tumblin officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will greet visitors prior to the service from 1:00 – 2:00 pm at the Church.
