Lila Sanders

Lila Rebecca Sherfield Sanders, age 73, widow of Charles Sanders, passed away Monday, January 27, 2026 at her home.

She was born October 20, 1952 in Clinton, SC and was a daughter of the late Joe Sherfield and the late Ellen Casey Sherfield. She lived her life for her children and grandchildren and was a loving and faithful woman. Enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie, dancing to My Girl, and cooking for her family. She was affectionately known as Nanny to all and was the Greatest Woman in the World.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Owens (Elizabeth); her grandchildren, Chandler Rhodes (Cameron Davis), Lucy Rhodes (Blaine Crisp), Jordan Davis (Cailey Alexander), Danielle Owens (Grant Burton), Hannah Owens, and Billy Davis; her great-grandchildren, Karson Rhodes, Kayson Rhodes; her sisters, her sisters, Bertha Edgins, Pearl Shockley, and Catherine Sherfield; and special friend, Logan Robbins.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Stephen Sanders, her siblings, Joseph Sherfield, George Sherfield, Billy Sherfield, Charles Sherfield, Ina Sherfield, Betty Cantrell, Joe Sherfield, Jr., and Frank Sherfield.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 30, 2026 at 2 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Clinton with Rev. Mark Entrekin officiating. Burial will take place at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
