Larry Jacob Smith

Larry Smith, age 84, of Clinton, husband of Norma Dickson Smith, passed away Monday, April 27, 2026 at his home.

Born August 16, 1941 in Newberry, SC, he was the son of the late William B. Smith and Viola Bedenbaugh Smith. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army. Larry was formerly employed with Clinton Mills and later worked at Auto Zone of Laurens. He was an avid Gamecock fan, a Dale Earnhardt enthusiast, classic car connoisseur, and Elvis lover.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, Larry is survived by his children, Kevin Smith (Claudia) of Laurens, Carol Harvell (Lee) of Laurens, and Joanne See (Mike) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Jessica (James) Quarles, Jennifer (Joe) Francesconi, Kylie (Payton) Smith, Donna Smith, Tyler Simmons, Noah Ross, Donovan Ross, Brooke (Hunter) Kyzer, Tori Stokes, and Bobby Hayes; and twenty great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 4:00 PM, at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Rev. Deidrick Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.

The family will greet visitors one hour prior to the service from 3-4 PM at the funeral home.
