Larry Alvin Moore

Larry Moore ,68, of Laurens, SC passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 21, 2026. Born on July 11, 1957 in Asheville, NC. Larry lived a life marked by dedication to his family, a passion for classic cars and racing. Larry raced for years and then became a flag man for Laurens Motor Speedway for 12 years. He loved every minute of it. He was a man of faith and conviction.

Larry also had a commitment to the Milliken company for 42 years of his life. He retired in 2022.

Larry Moore was a loving husband, father and Papa. He embodied what it was to be a Father and Papa. He lived by strong morals and values and taught that to his children and grandchildren. Larry was a simple man who would speak with respect.

Larry leaves behind his wife of 50 years, June Moore. Two daughters, Meranda Moore and Crystal Medlin. His son-in-law Steven Medlin. Grandchildren in oldest to least: Owen Medlin(wife Karly Medlin), Gabriel Medlin, Hezekiah Medlin(pre-deceased), Seth Nobles, Patsy (Lilly) Moore. Larry also had 2 great granddaughters Maci Medlin 8, Shelby Medlin 3.

Brothers David Moore of NC, Richard Moore of NC, James Moore( pre-deceased). Nephews, Jonathan Moore and Kaleb Moore. Several nieces and other nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Homer Moore Jr. and Patsy Moore.

Larry will be remembered for his unwavering support for his loved ones, his dedication to hard work and his ability to fix anything. Larry loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Memorial Services

A visitation and services will be held at Gray Funeral Home in Laurens, SC 29360 on Mar 28, 2026 from 1pm-2pm. Services will follow right after at 2:00 pm in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made directly to June Moore, 621 N. Harper Street, Laurens, SC 29360, in her husband’s memory to help relieve the burden of funeral cost.
