Kay Elaine Roberts Dolan

Kay Roberts Dolan, age 82, of Clinton, SC, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2025. Born on April 2, 1943, in Spartanburg, SC, Kay led a life rich in love and dedication to family, faith, and community.

Kay graduated from Clinton High School in 1961 and pursued higher education at Winthrop University before embarking on a successful career in banking and finance. In 1988, she married Dave Dolan, with whom she shared 14 cherished years until his passing from Alzheimer's. Kay's family was central to her life, and she found immense joy in spending time with her nephew, nieces, and later, her many great-nieces and nephews, always delighting in spoiling them with her love and attention.

An active member of Broad Street United Methodist Church, Kay’s faith was a guiding force in her life. Her outgoing nature and love for conversation made her a beloved figure in her community, where she was known for her warmth and vivacity.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, David and Evelyn Roberts, and her husband, Dave Dolan. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Emerson (Russ), her nephew, Gary Emerson (Mary Allyson), nieces, Lisa Machione(John), and Karen Brown (Pete) along with many great nieces and nephews who, along with many friends and family, will miss her dearly.

A visitation to honor Kay’s life will be held at the home of Lisa Machione, 201 Calvert Avenue, Clinton, SC, on May 31 from 2-4 PM. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Kay’s life and the joy she brought to those around her.
