Karyn Rae McGucken

Karyn Rae McGucken, age 73, of Waterloo, SC, widow of Albert McGucken, passed away Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at NHC of Laurens.

Born March 2, 1953 in Mars Hill, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Elwood Kingsbury and Beryl Higgins Blouin. Karyn was a Counselor, a devoted wife and a loving mother. Her legacy is her musicality, which she shared with her children. Her love will live on through music.

She is survived by her sons, Bryan McGucken (Elisabeth) of Ohio, and Eric McGucken (Amanda) of Waterloo; her brother, George Mastroianni of Colorado; and her grandchildren, Kerry and Susan.

In addition to her husband, Karyn was preceded in death by her siblings, Kerry Mastroianni, and Carol McGucken.

A Memorial Service is being planned for a later date.
