Karen S. Roten

Karen S. Roten, age 70, wife of Walter R. Roten, passed away Friday, May 29, 2026 at Brookstone Terrace of Woodruff.

She was born in Mobile, Alabama on October 8, 1955 and was the daughter of the late Murdock Smith and Mary Larsen Smith. Karen worked in retail for Walmart and was a member of the Laurens Church of God.

Karen is survived by her husband Walter of 23 years; her son, Denton Dupuis; her daughter, Jeannie Dupuis; her brothers, Russell Smith, Randy Smith; her five grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Karen is preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Smith.

Graveside Services will be held at M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery in the coming days.
