Judy Smith Patterson

Judy Smith Patterson, age 78, widow of Haskell Patterson, passed away Monday, June 1, 2026 at her home.

She was born on September 4, 1947 in Clinton and was a daughter of the late Cecil and Katherine Willis Smith.

Judy retired from Asten Press and was a member of the Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved all animals, reading her Bible, yard sales, and enjoyed all sweet treats; but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving are her son, Mart Patterson (Kelly) of Clinton; her daughter, Patricia Patterson Avery (Jay) of Waterloo; her brother, Wayne Smith, her sister, Ann Gossett; grandchildren, Christopher Patterson (Natalie), Carly Quarles (Blaine), Grant Burton (Danielle); great grandchildren, Pressley Patterson, Lakelyn Patterson, Ellisyn Patterson, Remi Claire Quarles.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Rachel Samples and Debra Smith.

A graveside service will be conducted at Rosemont Cemetery on Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Mark Entrekin officiating.

The family will greet friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
