Joseph J. Burns

Joseph J. Burns age 93, of 103 Grandview Acres, died Monday, March 23, 2009 at the National Healthcare of Clinton.
He was born in Laurens and was a son of the late Thomas J. and Lila Weeks Burns.
Mr. Burns was retired from Whiteford’s Drive –In of Clinton and formerly of Clinton Mills Bailey Plant. He was a Deacon and member of Calvary Baptist Church and also was an U.S. Army Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Foster Burns of Clinton; a daughter, Judith Burns Lynch of Clinton; three grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a daughter, Janice Burns Tinsley.
Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 25th at 2:00 p.m. in Pinelawn Memory Gardens by the Rev. Dr. James Dubose.
