Josephine McCall, age 86, wife of Joe McCall, passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 15, 1939 in Mountville, South Carolina and was the daughter of the late Bennie Brewer and Irene Merchant Brewer. Josephine retired as a hospital switch board operator from the Bailey Hospital and Laurens County Hospital. She was a faithful member of Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Josephine lived to read her Bible and pray daily. She read through the Bible every year and was filled with the Holy Spirit.
Josephine is survived by her husband of 64 years, Joe McCall; her daughter, Debbie Lewis (Jeff) of Honea Path; her son, Joe D. McCall (Wendy) of Ware Shoals; her brother, James Earl Brewer of Clinton; her three grandchildren, Catherine Alley (Stetson), Meaghan Weaver (Lee), Caleb McCall (Chelsie); her six great-grandchildren, Kelby and Xander Alley, Natalee and Oaklee Weaver, Chloe and Callie McCall.
In addition to her parents, Josephine is preceded in death by her son, Mike McCall, her brothers, Richard Brewer, Bennie Brewer and her grandson, Mark Lewis.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Mark Entrekin and Rev. Norman Dover officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will greet friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers, please honor Josephine with memorials to Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church Youth Group, 403 Academy Street, Clinton, SC 29325.
