John David Whitney, age 52, of 107 S Ellis Street, died Thursday, September 26, 2013 in the Laurens County Hospital.
He was born in Charleston and was a son of Roy David Whitney and Dianne Satterfield of Clinton, and Linda Johnson Whitney of Union.
Mr. Whitney was an employee of Walmart.
He is survived by his brother Clark Whitney (Andrea) of Simpsonville, his step-brother Chevis Barfield of Columbia, his sister Karen Watts (Tim), his step-sister, Helen Barfield Pryer (Marcus), and four nephews, Robert Whitney, Chris Watts, Aaron Watts, and Chevis Barfield Jr.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, September 29th at 4:30 p.m. at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends before the service from 3:30 to 4:30 at the funeral home.
