Joey E. Nelson

Joey E Nelson, 70, of Whitmire passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Newberry Health.

Born on October 5, 1955, he was the son of the late George E Nelson And Pauline Gibson Nelson of Whitmire. Joey was retired from the South Carolina National Guard.

Joey is survived by his wife Beverly Bostic Nelson and his son,,William (Billy)Nelson, a brother, Sandoval (Sandy) Eugene Nelson, a sister, Patsy Nelson Livingston and numerous nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service for Joey will be held at Freedom Baptist Church, 2028 Mount Bethel Garmany Rd., Newberry on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 2 PM.
