Jimmy Pruitt Dawkins, 65, passed away peacefully and comfortably at his home on July 23, 2026.

Born on February 25, 1961, at Camp Lejeune Naval Hospital, Jimmy lived a life filled with a love for family and a passion for classic automobiles. He found great joy in collecting, restoring, and working on classic cars, a hobby that brought him countless hours of satisfaction and created lasting memories with those who shared his interest.

Jimmy was a devoted father and proud grandfather. He is survived by his daughter, Nikki Lawson (Sam), and his three beloved grandchildren, Destiney Dawkins, Kenzlie Cash, and Bryson Cash, who will forever cherish his love and memory.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Jean Oakley Dawkins; his father, Scott Daniel Dawkins Jr; and his brother, Daniel Dawkins.

A private service will be held by invitation only.

Jimmy will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of classic cars, and the special place he held in the lives of his family and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
