Jessie Combs Fortney

Jessie Combs Fortney, age 95, passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Martha Franks Retirement Center.
She was born in Hazard, KY and was a daughter of the late Joshua and Lula May Combs.
Mrs. Fortney was a homemaker and was a member of the Elm City United Methodist Church of NC.
She is survived by her children. Wilgus H. Fortney (Sharon) of Laurens, Danny Fortney (Cynthia) of Clinton and Joe Dean Fortney (Lue) of Wilson, NC; her sister, Marjorie Logan (Glenn) of Clearmont, FL; eight grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by five brothers, and one sister.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Oct 18th at 4 PM at Razor Chapel at Martha Franks Baptist Retirement Center.
