Janet L. Kaye age 65, passed away on Feb 1, 2014
Janet was born in Milwaukee,WI Feb 26th, 1948. She was the daughter of Eugene and Virginia Salaty. This "Mom of Moms" raised four children and twelve grandchildren. She only ever wanted to be a mom and was selfless, compassionate, forgiving, and protective of her young in this calling. She was a mom and rock of the family for all that knew her and were blessed to be involved in her life.
Janet is survived by her husband Wayne, four children Lynn, Tom, Tim, Greg, and twelve grandchildren, Ethan, Maddison, Brianna, Carissa, Andrew, Cassidy, Elizabeth, Jessica, Austin, Camden, Carter, and Cayson from the families of all four kids. She is also survived by brothers Gary and Michael, sister Diane, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place Tuesday Feb 4th, 11am-1pm and 5-9pm. at Brookwood Church; 580 Brookwood Point, Simpsonville SC.
The Mass will take place Wednesday Feb 5th 10am at Mary Magdalene Church, 2252 Woodruff Rd. Simpsonville, SC. A lunch will follow at the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the two churches.
She had a profound impact and influence on all she met with a pure example of selfless love. John 13:35 "By this, all shall recognize that you are my disciples: if you will have love for one another."
Her life was a testament to being there for others, and her death is a reminder and challenge for us all to do the same for each other until we join her and The Lord in Heaven. She was a selfless compassionate protector who forgave before you could ask.
