James "Jimmy" Hollingsworth

James W. “Jimmy” Hollingsworth, Jr., age 68, of 1547 Hwy 66, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 at the Greenville Memorial hospital.
He was born in Union, SC and was a son of the late James W. Hollingsworth, Sr., and the late Ruth Jackson Hollingsworth.
Mr. Hollingsworth, known to his friends as “Hollywood”, retired from West Point Stevens; a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and the Whitmire American Legion.
He is survived by his wife Sue Matthews Hollingsworth of the home; his sons James Matthew Hollinsworth of Columbia and William Tyler Hollingsworth of the home; his daughter Leslie Nicole “Nikki” Hollingsworth Smith of Monarch; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his daughters Barbara Jean “Sissy" Barber Poole and Angela Dana Hollingsworth.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 25th at 2:00 p.m. at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Whitmire.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
