Henrietta (Rhee) Cheatham Szymanski

Henrietta (Rhee) Cheatham Szymanski, age 64, of Hampton Avenue, passed away July 29, 2016, at the Hospice House of Laurens County.
She was born in Greenville and was the daughter of the late James Edward and Claude Sitton Cheatham of Greenville.
Mrs. Szymanski graduated from Greenville High School in 1970 and attended Clemson University. She retired from the Laurens School District 56 District Office as Administrative Assistant. Mrs. Szymanski was an active member of First Presbyterian Church in Clinton, serving as elder, senior choir, hand bells, elementary choir, wedding coordinator, Sunday School Superintendent, and Youth Leadership. She was also an active member of the Laurens County Community Theatre, being the only director to win two Best of Shows in the same season. Mrs. Szymanski worked closely with CHS-JAG (Jobs for America’s Graduates) and PC-CHAMPS.
She is survived by her husband, Mark T. Szymanski; two sons, Joseph Szymanski of Charleston, and Graham Szymanski and wife, Holly, of Clinton; three grandchildren of Graham and Holly, Kaser, Leland and Paisley Szymanski; and a brother, Rick Cheatham of Prosperity.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 1, 2016, at 2:00 P.M., at the First Presbyterian Church in Clinton.
