Born in Granite Falls, N. C. Later lived in Whitmire, S. C. where she was was a member of The First Baptist Church and was organist there for 30 years.
Parents: A. I. Jackson (deceased) and Ada Hull Jackson (deceased).
Sisters: Dorothy J. Fowler (deceased) and Maxine J. Nesbitt (deceased).
First Husband: Earl H. Gilliam (deceased), Whitmire, S. C.
Children: Kathy G. Lewis (Cumming, Ga.), Nancy G. Hutson (Clemson, S.C.), Jack Gilliam (Newberry, S. C.). 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Second husband: William Pittendreigh (deceased), Piedmont, S. C.
1step son, 1 stepdaughter (deceased), 3 step grandchildren, 5 step great grandchildren, and 3 great greatgrandchildren.
Reverend Shannon Long will be officiating at the graveside funeral at Whitmire Cemetery in Whitmire, S.C. at 2:00pm on 02/28/26.
