George David Bell

George David Bell, 69, of 302 Whitmire Hwy, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at his home. Mr. Bell was born in Abbeville County and was the son of the late Bobby Allen Bell and Alice S. Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Linnie R. Bell of the home; two sons, Lewis E. McCarty of Greenwood, Christopher David Bell (Eva) of Greenwood; two daughters, Susan McDowell (Morris) of Laurens, Tammy Nieman (Chuck) of Joanna; two brothers, Bobby Bell of Promiseland, Myron Johnson of Greenwood; three sisters, Marie Cox of Greenwood, Janice McCarty of Greenwood, Debra Ice of Waterloo; ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Mr. Bell was predeceased by two sisters; Nancy Pitts of Baxley, GA, and Corlis Baker of Greenwood. A memorial service will be held graveside on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
