Frank James Bryant, Sr.

Frank James Bryant, Sr., age 87, widower of Elizabeth Geraldine Neal Bryant, passed away on Monday, August 31, 2026 surrounded by his family at Self Regional Hospital.

He was born on May 9, 1939 in Trenton, South Carolina and was the son of the late Hubert Eugene Bryant and Clara Mae Craine Bryant. Frank was the retired owner and operator of Frank Bryant’s Body Shop since 1971. He also loved fishing and restoring old cars.

Frank is survived by his daughters, Sherry Bryant Spelts (Lee), Frankie Bryant Summers; his sons, Frank James Bryant, Jr., Tim Bryant (Angela); his sister, Shirley Lyons (Sammy); his grandchildren, Chasity Payne, Steven Bagwell, Dustin Bagwell, Erin Bagwell, David Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Elizabeth Owens, Kassie Bryant, Kristen Bryant, Frank James Bryant, III, Simmons Bryant; his twenty-three great grandchildren and his eight great-great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Geraldine of 53 years, Frank is preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Kay Bagwell; his grandson, Franklin Lee Spelts, Jr. and his son-in-law, Larry Summers.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Rev. Ben Rumph officiating. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memory Gardens.

The family will greet friends on Friday, September 4, 2026 at Gray Funeral Home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
