Ernest E. Johnson

Ernest E. Johnson, age 71 of 291 Fort Lindley Rd. died Monday, May 10, 2010 in Self Regional Medical Center in Greenwood.
He was born in Newberry County and was a son of the late Clarence Lee and Maggie Banks Johnson.
Mr. Johnson retired from Greenwood Mills and was a member of the Joanna Church of God.
Surviving are his wife, Maude A. Johnson of the home; a daughter, Dianne Young of Mountville; four brothers, Keith Johnson and Jimmy Johnson both of Joanna, Bobby Johnson of Woodruff and Darrell Johnson of Johnston; five grandchildren, Melissa Crocker, Timothy Smith, Billy Ray Smith, Paul Smith and Charles Smith and five great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Raymond Paul Smith.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 13th at 4:00 p.m. in the Joanna Church of God by Rev. Gene Wooten with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
