Elizabeth "Beth" Harris

Elizabeth “Beth” Harris, 74, of Greenville, SC peacefully passed away in her home on November 13, 2025.

Beth was born September 9, 1951 to Joe and Martha Edwards in Clinton, SC. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1969, and Winthrop College, Class of 1973. Her career started with many years serving special education students and ended with more than 20 years of serving as Guidance Counselor of Enoree Career Center.

Known as “BeGe”, Beth’s joy after retiring from education was visits with her children and grandchildren. Beth’s happiest memories were teaching her grandkids how to swim and enjoying summers at PMP pool in Greenville. She also served her community by collecting donations for Greenville Humane Society each summer in memory of her beloved four-legged family member, Totsie.

Beth, a woman dedicated to Christian faith, pursued a daily relationship with her Lord and Savior through songs of worship and praise. Her grandchildren read bible stories with her, and she shared her faith with family and friends to encourage and strengthen their hope in an eternity with God.

Beth is survived by her daughters, Allison Barton (Kevin) of Moore, SC and Katherine Barnette (Kris) of Anderson, SC; her grandchildren Grayson Kuenzli, Bennett Barton, Charlotte Barton, Chase Barnette, Nathan Barnette, and Ty Barnette; and her brothers Vernon and John Edwards.

Memorial services will be held at Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 2:00 PM. The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM prior to the service.
