Doris Jean O'Shields

Doris Jean O’Shields, 94, of Laurens, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Doris was born on June 6, 1931 and was the daughter of Reverend Earl Wright and Maggie Stepp Wright. Doris was of the Baptist faith.

Doris spent her life as a foster grandparent at Senior Options, a teacher’s assistant at Ford Elementary School, a beautician, and also worked in textiles and manufacturing industry. She was sassy and was a social butterfly.

She is survived by her daughter, Teresa Reynolds; her grandchildren, Tempia and Justin Reynolds; her great grandchildren, Sawyer and Sullivan Reynolds

In addition to her parents, Doris was predeceased by her brothers, Bob Wright and Lynn Wright; her sisters, Margaret McCluney, Nellie Duncan and Elsie Ruth Smith.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 2PM at Elizabeth Street Church of God with Reverend Mike Collins and Reverend Dale McCluney officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

The family will be at the home of her grandson, Justin Reynolds, 1235 Ranch Road, Laurens, SC 29360.
