Cynthia Elizabeth Wooten

Cynthia Elizabeth Wooten, age 49, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2026 at her home.

She was born in Laurens County, South Carolina on December 12, 1976 and was the daughter of the late Charles Fredrick Brown and Joann Gresham Brown. She worked for several businesses in the Clinton area, loved her family, was a down to earth person that cared for everyone.

Cynthia is survived by her son, Andrew Wooten (Hayley) of Simpsonville; her daughter, Haylee Young (Charles) of Joanna; her sisters, Sue Brown of Cross Hill; her grandchildren, Kyrie Young, Ka’Laia Young, Vinnie Wooten; her nephews, Harland Davenport of Joanna, Austin Davenport of Cross Hill; and her beloved furry friend, Peanut.

In addition to her parents, Cynthia is preceded in death by her sister, Kimberly Brown.

A Memorial service will be held Friday, August 21, 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Gray Funeral Home Chapel of Clinton with Rev. Jerry Harris officiating. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
