Charlotte Virginia Taylor “Granny” Corteville, age 70 of 881Steve Thompson Rd. and widow of Ralph Corteville, Sr. passed away Tuesday, June 11th 2013 at her home.
She was born in Johnson County, Indiana and was a daughter of the late Arthur Douglas Taylor and Annabelle Collier and was also predeceased by the mother that raised her, Marie Allen.
Mrs. Corteville was a homemaker and member of New Horizon Life Center and Second Baptist Church.
Surviving are her six children, Tracy Corteville of Martinsville, VA, William Corteville, Sr.,Timothy Corteville, Ralph David Corteville, Jr., Ralph David Corteville, III all of Laurens, Carrie Ellis of Watertown, NY; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, June 15th at 11:00 a.m. in the Second Baptist Church by Rev. Dale Dunton and Rev. J.D. Shiflet, burial will be at the Forest Lawn East Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Gray Funeral Home in Laurens.
