Carolyn Mae King

Carolyn Mae King, age 60, of Clinton, SC, passed away, Saturday, February 21, 2026 at her home.

She was born March 3, 1965 in Clinton, SC, and was a daughter of the late J.D. Rushton and Betty Birch Rushton. Carolyn was formerly employed with Ingles Bakery in Clinton and Norbord. She enjoyed cooking, coloring, working in her yard and spending time with her grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by her son, Brandon King (Holly) of Cross Hill; her daughter, Erica Coleman (David) of Cross Hill; her sister, Judy Cash of Clinton; her grandchildren, Skylar King (A.J.), Kiyli King (Peyton), Hayden King, Rissa King, Aubree Coleman, and Madison Coleman; one great-granddaughter, Raelynn Mae Wilkes, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Mitchel Rushton.

A Memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 28, 2026 at First Baptist Church of Cross Hill.
