“Buddy” Michael Nelson age 55 of 205 York Street, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at his home.
He was born in Laurens and was a son of the late John Wesley and Grace Edmonds Nelson.
Mr. Nelson was retired from the Laurens Glass Company and was a member of Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Duvall Nelson of the home; a son, Michael Nelson and wife, Michelle of Spartanburg; two daughters, Melissa Dawn Wilbanks of Clinton, and Candi Tucker and husband, Greg of Clinton; a brother, James Wesley Nelson of Clinton; and fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 30th at 3:00 p.m. in the Clinton First Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Pinelawn Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
